Physician, Best-Selling Author, Associate Professor, International Lecturer, Acupuncturist, Certified Nutritionist, Prevention/Integrative Health Expert, Mom and Wife.
Dr. Tasneem Bhatia, MD, is a board-certified physician, specializing in integrative and emergency medicine, pediatrics and prevention, with expertise in women’s health, weight-loss and nutrition. She is the author of “What Doctors Eat” and “The 21-Day Belly Fix.”
Personal health challenges in her twenties combined with a broken health care system motivated Dr. Taz to pursue an alternative definition of health and healthy living. Early in her medical practice, as a young resident, Dr. Taz began searching for answers to her own health issues. Studying various systems of medicine, she found a wealth of information not yet taught in conventional medical schools. It led her to opening her now nationally recognized practice, CentreSpringMD (formerly Atlanta Center for Holistic and Integrative Medicine). Voted Atlanta’s Best Integrative Medicine facility (Best Self Atlanta poll), Dr. Taz and her team work to find a patient’s core health problems, their centre, so they can spring forth in health. The team of providers rely on their knowledge from multiple systems of medicine, including integrative, functional, conventional and holistic medicine.
Dr. Taz is passionate about the profound connection and synergy between women and children’s health and their ultimate impact on the health of the entire family. Her centers are dedicated to helping patients understand his or her core health issues and develop personalized treatment plans. She continues to train her team in thinking exhaustively about each patient and expanding their options for health and healthy living.
With an established agenda of improving women and children’s health, Dr. Taz expanded her reach through media in 2003. Since then, she has served as a medical expert for CNN Headline News, a Dr. Oz Sharecare expert, has been featured on numerous media outlets, including TODAY, Access Hollywood, Good Morning America, The Weather Channel, EXTRA!, Live with Kelly, and the Meredith Vieira Show, and is a contributing editor for Prevention magazine. She continues to have a strong media presence and desire to educate others about living a healthy life.
