Most moms I meet suffer from stress and anxiety related to their families. This, in turn, leads to unhealthy behaviors, including overeating and inactivity. I think all women should create a stress management plan for themselves and share it with their families. It could be something as simple as a daily morning run or a weekly massage. Find something you love and look forward to, but don’t let other responsibilities invade that time.

Nutritional consciousness is the best healthy habit. Understanding your nutritional needs and deficiencies is the key to long-term health.
What is a great healthy gift to give mom?
A massage, spa trip or girls getaway is a great gift for stress management. Whole foods cooking classes, CSA (community supported agriculture) memberships and healthy recipe books are also good.
What is your idea of the perfect Mother’s Day Gift?
My idea of a perfect day includes time to relax, focus on myself and recover from my routines, and spend time with my precious children.
